Carrots fund Research

During 2013 we’re raising money to support the development of the Clinical Research Facility at BMEC. The BMEC Clinical Research Facility was opened in December 2012. This is a dedicated unit supporting clinical research studies on a wide range of eye conditions. We provide a comprehensive environment, including a highly skilled clinical research workforce, to undertake various projects from all phases of research.

We want to better equip these facilities and create a more comfortable setting enabling everyone involved (patients, volunteers and researchers) to gain maximum benefit from the research projects we host.

Our fundraising target is £40,000 and we’ll be running a range of activities to reach our target. We’ll be holding a Carrots Week in September culminating in the Carrots Night Walk on Friday 20th September. We’re partnering Fight for Sight with the Night Walk, but all of the money raised will be used to support research at BMEC.

You can help by:

–       Signing up to do the Carrots Night Walk online or request a pack from the fundraising team

–       Hold an orange themed day at your local school or place of work

–       Bake some carrot cakes and ask for a donation in return for a slice

–       Sponsor our BMEC team

–       Give a donation towards the research facility
