Team

We have a highly skilled and dedicated team who work together to develop the best possible combination of therapies for each individual child, along with his or her family

Services

The main administrative base for Children’s Therapies is The Lyng Centre.  Other local facilities include Glebefields Health Centre, RowleyRegisHospital, The Lyng Centre and Victoria Health Centre.  Therapy is delivered in a variety of locations including the child’s home, school, nurseries and clinics.

We take an individual approach to each child.  After consultation with the children and their families, children may be offered one or more of the following services depending upon their needs.

OT offers a service for children with physical disabilities which affect a child’s ability to participate in everyday activities which s/he either wants, needs or is expected to take part in.  The difficulties may impact upon play, leisure and/or access to education.

PT offers a service to children with physical conditions resulting in the limitation of movement and function as a result of disability or illness, which may be improved, controlled or alleviated.

SLT offers a service for children with communication difficulties which can impact on both learning and social interaction.  They also offer a service for children with physical or sensory-based feeding difficulties.
